Advice on a good motorcycle kit to start with?

I've built a lot of cars but never built a morotrcycle kit and want one now. Can anyone give me some advice as to what kit has good detail but an easy (ie. Tamiya) build. I'm looking at the new Tamiya kits, like the Yamaha YZR Estoril kit #14120 or the older Honda RC166 looks really cool. Do you really need the detail kits to make them look sharp? I don't mind spending some money on a nice kit but don't want to go crazy with having to buy detail kits to make it look good.
